Coated sheet, also known as color coated sheet, organic coated sheet or pre coated steel sheet, is made by coating or laminating various organic coatings or plastic films on the surface of metal coils (cold-rolled sheet, hot-dip galvanized sheet, aluminum plated sheet, high aluminum alloy sheet, stainless steel sheet, etc.) as the substrate.
Coated plates have the advantages of both organic polymers and steel plates. They have the good coloring, formability, corrosion resistance, and decorative properties of organic polymers, as well as the high strength and ease of processing of steel plates. They can be easily processed by punching, bending, deep drawing, welding, and other processes. This makes products made of organic coated steel plates have excellent practicality, decoration, processability, and durability.
There are many varieties of coated boards, about over 600, but there is still no unified classification method because it is difficult to find a distinguishing standard among the numerous varieties. At the same time, each manufacturer has its own unique equipment and process, and there are many types of products. Now only classified according to general habits.
1. Classify according to the substrate used. The substrates commonly used for organic coated steel plates include cold-rolled sheets, hot-dip galvanized sheets, electroplated galvanized sheets, alloyed sheets, galvanized aluminum sheets, electroplated galvanized alloy sheets, tin plated sheets, chrome plated sheets, aluminum sheets, etc.
2. Classify according to processing technology. Organic coated steel plates are produced using various coating methods, including roller coating, spray coating, powder coating, laminating, and printing. Organic coated steel plates are produced by different coating processes such as one coating and one drying, two coating and two drying, three coating and three drying, and four coating and four drying, depending on the number of coating times. Pressing flower or printing processing can be subdivided into coated steel plates such as wood grain board, marble grain, leather grain, cement mortar grain, etc.
3. Classify according to the type of coating. Usually classified according to the coatings used for making organic coatings, there are polyvinyl chloride coated steel plates, polycarbonate coated steel plates, acrylic coated steel plates, fluorocarbon coated steel plates, silicon polycarbonate coated steel plates, etc.
4. Classify by coating performance. According to the performance characteristics of organic coatings, there are high weather resistance coating plates, high temperature resistance coating plates, self extinguishing coating plates, sterilization coating plates, non stick snow coating plates, fingerprint resistance coating plates, and self-lubricating coating plates.
5. Classify according to special coatings and purposes. Organic coated steel plates with epoxy zinc rich coatings, cold-rolled steel plates as substrates, surface flocking steel plates, and some special machine coated composite plates, such as laminated veneer panels, sandwich panels, shock resistant panels, etc.
